PURPOSE OF JOB
The HR Specialist (Operations) will play a key role in managing the daily administrative functions of the HR department, including HR administrative functions, employee records management, and handling requests through an HR ticketing system. This role ensures efficient HR operations, compliance with labor laws, and support to employees in both the U.S. and Costa Rica. Oversee day-to-day HR operational tasks, including data management, document processing, and HRIS updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and US regulations.
- HR Ticketing System Management
Manage and respond to incoming employee queries through the HR ticketing system.
Prioritize and resolve tickets efficiently, ensuring issues are addressed within designated timeframes.
Escalate complex HR or payroll-related issues to appropriate team members when necessary.
Track common employee concerns and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.

- Benefits and Leave Administration
Assist with benefits administration, ensuring employees have access to health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
Administer leave requests (e.g., vacation, sick leave) and update records accordingly.
Address employee questions related to benefits, leaves, and other HR programs.

- Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and payroll regulations across both the U.S. and Costa Rica.
Generate regular reports on HR operations, such as payroll summaries, ticketing metrics, and employee records.
Support HR process improvement initiatives, including automation of administrative tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in HR operations, payroll management, or HR administration (required)
- Strong knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP) (required)
- Proficiency in HR ticketing systems and Microsoft Office Suite (required)
- Solid understanding of HR principles, labor laws (US and CR), payroll regulations, and benefits administration (required)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.
- Professional fluency in English is essential (B2+ / C1), both written and oral.
